Going to rant a bit about work again.
I wish the guy would show up on time for once. I mean, I know you're busy and all, but if you're going to be late, you could at least not tell me to show up at 10. I'd be okay with waiting for 40 minutes if it wasn't cold out.
Did a lot of filling in the spaces between tiles today, becoming better at doing it too. Getting really good at cutting / measuring tiles, but the loudness of the cutter is as irritating as ever. At least I won't have to deal with the cutter anymore since it's being returned today. Also, that thing is ridiculously dirty after use.
Worked a total of 14 hours today. Hm, well, that is only slightly true. I waited for 40 minutes, we ended slightly earlier, and I guess i'm not working when i'm eating food. But it was around 14 nonetheless. Thankful that he includes the food and i'm probably getting paid without being taxed.
Combined work time of 42.5 hours thus far.
In other news...
Didn't actually get to donate blood on saturday. Apparently, the place where my grandfather's grave is, is some sort of malaria unsafe danger zone full of untold horrors of unparallel disaster. My mere presence in that location for a mere 10 hours means I can't donate whole blood for a year. Which brings to mind... oh snap, I've donated blood 3 times since I've returned. Honestly, Hong Kong is so freaking close, and with the immense interconnectivity of everyone around the world, does it even matter anymore?
Still feeling a lot of pressure to start playing SC. Not playing for two reasons: no time and I'm not really into RTS games. To an extent, it's straining my ability to talk to them because all they ever say is "HAVE YOU INSTALLED THE GAME YET?" or some other equivalent. Annoying.
Finally heard by from the OSE about the OL position. The fact that they sent the email to both my gmail and ucalgary email means that my online application had actually succeeded. If only they had sent that email out to me earlier, I wouldn't have had to waste time writing a new resume and cover letter. But then again, the new resume does kick some metaphoric object, so we're even. Possibly.
It should arrive this week. I am oh so excited. Please arrive this week.
Sleep time. I have to wake in approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes. Then more training and then even more work.
